Rhoenoak: Valarim Plains

Image
Two more illustrations for the Rhoenoak novels by John Enitsu, both showing the plains the main species - the valarim - lives in, but different corners of it. https://Facebook.com/RhoenoakBookOfficial

The Far Reaches: Surssia

Image
Surssia is one of the factions in the Far Reaches game; a militaristic people. All four main factions - Surssia, Clans of Dagoroth, Kelgonia, and the Core Worlds - were illustrated with such images. I used a photobash/mirror technique I had just seen in a FZD school video, which was very handy for the buildings and aircraft, providing loads of initial detail to build upon.

Traditional media, 2

Paintings given as Christmas gifts. Still working on photographing my work - bloody mess when you're not much of a photo guy, like me - but it's improving. Formats are 40×50cm illustration board with canvas texture, 24×30 twice, and 25×30cm stretched canvases, respectively. Mediums used were acrylic paints, gel pens, pigmented ink pens, coloured pencils, structure paste, and Indian ink.

Happy holidays!

Christmas elves - bah, the truth is that those tiny guys aren't nearly strong enough to haul all the sacks and packs. But we know the truth. Merry Christmas!

Rusty Reach

Image
One of my first illustrations for Fantasy Flight Games, for their Star Wars RPG Edge of the Empire. This is a pirate compound, atmospherically built into a scrapyard. It appeared in the Mask of the Pirate Queen adventure module. (c)2015 Fantasy Flight Games

Infinite Adventures Heroes

Image
The cast of the upcoming card-based RPG Infinite Adventures by Inspiring Games, and the box lid image (and some more pieces for the promo video). It's a low fantasy setting with lots of ancient folklore.

Portrait of Benny

A family dog's portrait. For a long time my first full painting in traditional media; acrylics, gouache, and coloured pencils on illustration board, 60×80cm. I immediately got hooked again and have several more paintings in the works. I may have to work out a better way of photographing my works, though, the colours seem off.
