Month of Love: Black

Image
I considered the Month of Love challenges for this year and I think I'll tackle them chronologically. First is "Black". I'll be repainting a piece of mine from ages ago of a woman dressed in black on black background, with a floaty jellyfish (it was my challenge then to create different black materials, and worked out well enough. It's kidna nice to remake a challenge under different circumstances). I haven't done "floaty sea animal" images in a while either ;) Here's my double-page charcoal scribble, preliminary digital sketch, and revised drawing to serve as the base. Reminder: Head over to my new Tumblr. I find myself adding A LOT more content there, and it looks cooler, too. https://ranarh.tumblr.com

New Tumblr account

https://ranarh.tumblr.com ... is my new Tumblr account. I had been thinking about moving there for a while now, it seems easy to use. I will run both blogs simultaneously until I find out if one wins over the other.

Caeperus, Post Exodus Map

Image
The world map for John Enitsu's Rhoenoak world ( http://www.Facebook.com/RhoenoakBookOfficial ). This was quite some work, but working with the auhtor was exciting and it turned out there was much more detail than both of us expected at first. Collaboration at its best!

Magic Items Card Template

This is a card template for a Dungeon Master presenting his players with magic items in play. There are several colour options for the frames and corners.

Rhoenoak Artworks

And some more of the ongoing work I'm doing for author John Enitsu 's Rhoenoak novel world. These are the keeper of Lyrium plains, a majestic white stag; the unforgiving Mirage wasteland; and Soliterus plains, where the plumbra come to the waterholes to drink.

DrawCember Challenge

Image
CGSociety and Wacom called the DrawCember challenge - draw something every day until the 22nd Dec. Democratically, we didn't have to use a Wacom thing for it, so there were some interesting things going on in the CG Talk forum including ink drawings. My contributions started with portrait exercises, but I have since moved on to using the prompt list (mostly). Find the thread below if you like, and these are all the drawings from the 6th onwards. http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=458&t=1477696

Daily Spitpaint

Disregarding its somewhat disgusting name, the Daily Spitpaint group on Facebook has entertained me with providing several prompts per day to work with. These are my exploits so far: Hanging Cages, Grumpy Old Man, Spinning Top, Tailor Measuring, Looter.
